Explosion Proof (EX) aerial lifts, forklifts, carts and other EX rated equipment are used in the disposal and recycling of chemical and hazardous waste. Unloading shipments containing potentially hazardous mixes of chemical waste and compounds can cause explosive reactions. Dust and powders often form a local environment that may be explosive. Other hazards include the movement and storage of drums containing hazardous materials that may be damaged or leaking.
