Explosion Proof (EX) equipment is used in tunneling through gaseous rocks and on-site construction, sewer projects, as well as other construction projects where explosive dust or vapor may be present.

Aerial lifts, tuggers/pullers, forklifts, skidsteers, cranes and personnel carriers are used where the potential for explosive dust and gases exist.

Other applications include forklifts and telehandlers for handling drums and pallets containing explosive compounds or chemicals, which could react if mixed, damaged or leaking.

Forklifts are used for handling the disposal and recycling of chemical and hazardous waste, and aerial lifts for painting and blasting.

MLE Explosion Proof equipment has been designed, tested and certified for Class I, Div 1, Group D service.
