Explosion Proof (EX) aerial lifts, forklifts, tuggers, reach trucks and other EX rated equipment, like cranes, are used in processing areas where hazardous materials are produced, handled or used. Production areas where flammable substances are being mixed, or where vapor is likely present, may be especially hazardous. The blending or mixing of chemicals and compounds can cause explosive reactions. Dust and powders often form a cloud or layer that may be potentially explosive.

Aerial lifts, forklifts and reach trucks are used in production areas feeding raw or bulk materials and storage of finished goods.
